Melbourne Orlando International Airport (IATA: MLB) is located on the east coast of Florida, in the heart of Brevard County, known as the “Space Coast.”

The airport is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) northwest of Melbourne city center. Melbourne Airport is 70 miles (112 km) from Orlando. MLB is used by passengers seeking access to Florida’s Space Coast technology hubs, pristine beaches, iconic attractions such as the Kennedy Space Center, and the Port Canaveral cruise port. It serves approximately 700,000 passengers annually.

Melbourne Airport has a single terminal building. This terminal is used for both domestic and international flights.
Check-in counters, baggage claim areas, and TSA security checkpoints are centrally located within the terminal. After passing through security, passengers arrive at spacious and well-lit waiting lounges. Here, operations are carried out by major carriers such as Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, as well as low-cost airlines such as Allegiant Air and Sun Country Airlines.
The ground floor of the terminal has baggage claim, while the upper floor has ticketing and security areas. There are 8 gates at the airport.

Parking Areas

There is a single parking area at Melbourne Orlando International Airport. Located directly in front of the airport terminal, the parking area is designed for both short-term and long-term parking. It is a multi-level parking garage. Fee: $1 per hour, maximum $14 per day.

Cell Phone Lot: This waiting area is located right next to the return route to the terminal. You can wait here for 60 minutes without leaving your vehicle.

All parking lots have special parking spaces for disabled individuals located near the terminal entrances. Payments can be made by credit card.

Car Rental at the airport

Renting a car at Melbourne Orlando International Airport is easy and hassle-free. All car rental companies have counters inside the terminal building, directly opposite the baggage claim area. This allows arriving passengers to pick up their luggage and complete the car rental process immediately. Many leading national and international companies, such as Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Alamo, offer their services here. Offices are open according to flight schedules. You can pick up your rental car from the parking lot adjacent to the terminal building.

Find transportation from the airport – bus, taxi ,shuttles

Bus (Space Coast Area Transit – SCAT): Line 26, which departs from the stop in front of the terminal, connects the coastline and the city center. The final stops are Cocoa Beach and Downtown Melbourne. Bus stops are located just outside the terminal building.

Shuttle Services: Several private shuttle companies offer shared or private transfer services to Melbourne, Orlando (including theme parks and MCO), Port Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center, and other popular destinations. This is a convenient option for those traveling in groups or seeking direct transportation to a specific location. Remember to make a reservation in advance.

Taxis: Taxi stands are located in designated areas at the arrivals exit of the terminal. Licensed taxis are available at the airport.

Rideshare (Uber/Lyft): There are designated pickup points (Rideshare Pickup Zones) for app-based ride services such as Uber and Lyft at the arrivals level of the terminal.

Lost & Found

If you lose an item in a general area of the airport, such as the terminal building, security checkpoints, or parking lots, you should contact the MLB Airport Lost and Found Office. The office is open weekdays. For more information, call (321) 723-6227.
