This airport is a busy international airport serving both Hartford, Connecticut, and Springfield, Massachusetts. It is located approximately 15 miles (24 km) north of Hartford city center and approximately 12 miles (19 km) south of Springfield city center. The airport serves an average of 6-7 million passengers annually.
Bradley International Airport Terminal Structure
Bradley International Airport has one terminal. Terminal A is the main area for passengers. All flight operations are conducted from this terminal.
Terminal A is the heart of all land and air side operations at the airport. Check-in counters, baggage claim carousels, security checkpoints, ground transportation connections, various dining options, and shopping stores are located in this terminal building.
The terminal has three floors. The ground floor is reserved for arrivals. The first floor is reserved for departures. The second floor houses the Connecticut Airport Authority’s administrative offices.
There are two concourses within Terminal A:
East Concourse (Gates 1-12): Low-cost and international carriers such as Aer Lingus, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, and Sun Country use this concourse.
West Concourse (Gates 20-30): Air Canada, American, Breeze, and United Airlines operate domestic flights from this concourse.

Garage (Indoor Parking): This is an indoor parking area directly connected to Terminal A. It is the closest parking area to the terminal. It is ideal for both short and long-term parking. The hourly rate starts at approximately $4, and the maximum daily rate is $25.
Express Lot 1: This is within walking distance of the terminal and is a more economical parking option. The daily fee is 10 USD. There is also a free shuttle service between the parking lot and the terminal.
Economy Lot 4: This is an economical parking area located a short distance from the terminal. Free shuttle buses run continuously between the terminal and the parking lot. This is the most affordable long-term parking option. The daily rate is around 7-8 USD.
Cell Phone Waiting Lot: This is a free area for passengers who want to wait for arriving passengers without leaving their vehicles. It is located near the terminal. You can wait for up to 60 minutes in this area.

Opened in 2022, the $210 million Ground Transportation Center brings all major car rental companies under one roof. Bus (CTtransit – Bradley Flyer): The 30-Bradley Flyer bus line, operated by CTtransit, runs regularly from Terminal A to Hartford city center (including Union Station) and some surrounding locations. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Bus stops are located outside the terminal in designated areas.
Train: Windsor Locks station is very close to the airport. You can reach the station quickly by bus or taxi. You can use Amtrak and Hartford Line routes to reach your destination.
