Nice Airport Terminals
There are two terminals at Nice Airport: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is a small terminal. Terminal 2 is a larger terminal.
Terminal 1
Terminal 1 is used for domestic, intra-European, and intercontinental flights. There are separate sections for Schengen and non-Schengen flights. Both sections have a VIP Lounge. Terminal 1 has a business center. The terminal has 8 meeting rooms and a 250-person conference hall. This terminal is used for business travel flights. Passport control is on the first floor, near the departure gates.
Terminal 2
Terminal 2 is the airport’s main terminal. It is larger than Terminal 1. Its annual capacity is approximately 9 million passengers. This terminal is used for flights to all destinations. Both domestic and international flights depart from this terminal. Security control in Terminal 2 is on the first floor, next to the entrance to the boarding gates.
There are car rental company offices in each terminal. The terminals have free Wi-Fi, VIP lounges, restaurants, cafes, and shops. There are also ATMs and currency exchange offices in the terminals. The tram connecting the terminals is completely free.
Nice Airport Car Rental
If you want to explore the French Riviera properly, you should explore this fascinating city by car. Getting to the steeply sloped villages around Nice by public transport can be a bit tiring. By car, you can reach Monaco in 30 minutes and Cannes in 40 minutes. Saint-Paul-de-Vence is 35 minutes from the airport, and the village of Eze is 30 minutes away. The A8 motorway runs the entire length of the Côte d’Azur.

The airport has offices for major rental companies such as Europcar, Hertz, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Sixt, Goldcar, Dollar, and Alamo. In Terminal 1, there are car rental company offices near A1 and A2. The offices are open until 10:00 PM. Terminal 2 has a Car Rental Center. The Car Rental Center is located behind the P5 Parking Lot. If you are at Terminal 1, you can complete your rental procedures and pick up your car from the parking area. You can reach the Terminal 2-Car Rental Center stop in 5 minutes by taking the free tram.
If you are renting a car from Nice Airport, I recommend making your reservation at least one week before your trip. This way, you can rent a car at a more affordable price. Economy class is the most popular option. You can rent a car with your driver’s license, passport, and credit card.
Nice Airport VIP Lounge
