Dulles Airport Terminal

Dulles Airport has one terminal and five concourses in a separate area.

Main Terminal

This terminal has check-in counters, security checkpoints, and baggage claim areas. A small group of gates known as Z gates is also located in this terminal. This main terminal is used more by Air Canada and United Express. Customs and passport control for arrivals also takes place in the main terminal and on the lower level. The upper level is reserved for departures.

Concourse A is the heart of international flights. Concourse A is located in the eastern half of the north central field terminal. There are 47 gates here. Concourse A hosts major international airlines such as Air France, KLM, Etihad Airways, and Virgin Atlantic. You can easily reach this area via the AeroTrain. The train station is located between gates A6 and A14.

Concourse B is located in the western half of the terminal. There are 28 gates here. Concourse B is connected to the main terminal by an underground passage. Almost all domestic and Canadian flights use this concourse.

Concourse C and Concourse D are the home bases of United Airlines. All gates in Concourse C are reserved for United Airlines. Concourse D serves international carriers such as British Airways and Emirates. You can easily reach both concourses via AeroTrain.

The AeroTrain system is used for transportation between concourses. This automated underground train takes a maximum of 2 minutes. There are open and covered parking areas in front of the terminals.
