When you exit the terminal, you will see the taxi rank on your left. The taxi ride to the city center takes 10-15 minutes. There is also a JetBus service from the terminal to the city center. This bus is more affordable than a taxi. The J1 and J2 buses run from the airport to the city center every 20-30 minutes. The bus ride to the city center takes 20-25 minutes. The bus stop is very close to the terminal.

There is one terminal at Adelaide Airport. The main terminal is used for both international and domestic flights. The security, check-in, and baggage claim areas for domestic and international flights are in separate sections. Passport and customs procedures for international passengers are carried out in a separate section.
On the ground floor, there are baggage claim carousels, customs, and exit doors from the terminal. Car rental offices are also on this floor. On the first floor, there are airline offices and administrative units. The second floor is dedicated to departures. Check-in counters, security checkpoints, waiting lounges, restaurants, cafes, and duty-free shops are located on this floor. Qantas, Virgin Australia, and Plaza Premium Lounge are also located on this floor. You can enjoy a local beer at Coopers Alehouse and buy the finest gifts for your loved ones from the Penfolds wine boutique.
The terminal has free Wi-Fi and charging points. There are information points, luggage trolley stations, and elevators and ramps for barrier-free access within the terminal.
Adelaide Airport Car Rental
Car rental companies have offices at Adelaide Airport. The car rental companies’ offices are located on the ground floor of the terminal, directly opposite the baggage carousels. Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Enterprise, and Thrifty provide services here. Car rental companies are open Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. If you want to rent a car from the airport, you can make your reservation online before your trip. This way, you can complete your transactions without wasting too much time at the terminal. It is particularly difficult to find a car at the airport during the summer months and holiday periods. All you need to rent a car is your passport, driver’s license, and credit card.
You can pick up your rental car from the P1 Terminal Car Park. First, you must exit the terminal and cross the pedestrian crossing. Rental cars are parked on the ground floor of the multi-story parking garage.
You can reach this parking area with a short walk after exiting the terminal.
If you rent a car from the airport, you can quickly reach spectacular destinations such as Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, and Fleurieu Peninsula. The cars take 15 minutes to reach Adelaide city center and 1 hour to reach the famous Barossa Valley wine region. Glenelg beach is only 15 minutes away from the airport.
Adelaide Airport VIP Lounge
Adelaide Airport has VIP Lounges for both domestic and international flights. If you want to wait for your flight in a quiet and peaceful environment, you can use these lounge areas.
Plaza Premium Lounge serves both international and domestic flights. The Plaza Premium Lounge is located on the 1st floor, on the right after international security. This VIP Lounge area, which can accommodate 137 people, serves South Australian wines, barista coffee, and hot meals. Priority Pass, DragonPass, and American Express Platinum cardholders can access this lounge area. You can also enter the Plaza Premium Lounge by paying a certain fee. Opening and closing times vary according to the flight schedule. The Plaza Premium Lounge Domestic is located on the 2nd floor, near gate 16.
The Qantas Lounge is near Gate 21. Hot meals, South Australian wines, and barista coffee are served. There are 4 shower cubicles here. It is only open to business class passengers and high-status members.
The Virgin Australia Lounge is located opposite Gate 15. This lounge is small and intimate.

If you are looking for more economical accommodation, you can stay at boutique hotels in the West Beach area, just a 5-10 minute drive from the airport. Adelaide Airport is very close to the city center. If you prefer, you can also stay at luxury city hotels in the city center, such as the Hilton Adelaide and InterContinental.
