Perth Airport Map

Perth is a peaceful city known for the sunny and tranquil atmosphere of Western Australia. It is a spacious city where the ocean, rivers, and parks intertwine. Kings Park and Botanic Garden, one of the city’s most famous landmarks, is among its most visited attractions. The historic port area of Fremantle, with its art galleries, weekend markets, and colonial architecture, will give you a pleasant weekend experience. Cottesloe Beach, on the Indian Ocean coast, is the most popular beach here.

The moment you step into Perth Airport, you will immediately feel the sunny weather of Western Australia. Getting from Perth Airport to the city center is very easy. The airport is quite close to the city center. The Airport Line train is the most popular means of transportation to the city center. Thanks to this line, you can reach the city center in 18 minutes from the Airport Central station in the T1 and T2 areas. There are also taxi stands at the exit of each terminal.

There are four terminals at Perth Airport. Each of these terminals is used by different airline groups. In fact, the airport is divided into two separate terminal areas. Terminals 1 and 2 are located in the east, while Terminals 3 and 4 are located in the west. The walking distance between these two areas is 15 minutes. There is a free shuttle service operating 24 hours a day between the terminals. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes.

Perth Airport Terminals

Perth Airport has four passenger terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, and Terminal 4.

Terminal 1 is used for both international and domestic flights. Virgin Australia uses this terminal for some domestic flights. The ground floor has the arrivals hall, baggage claim, currency exchange offices, and car rental offices. The first floor has check-in counters, and the second floor has boarding gates. From this terminal, you can easily reach Terminal 2 via walkways and moving walkways.

Terminal 2 is a small, single-story terminal. Virgin Australia and Alliance Airlines use this terminal for regional flights.

Terminal 3 is located on the west side of the airport. Qantas uses this terminal for domestic flights. Some international flights also depart from this terminal. There are 9 gates in this terminal.

Terminal 4 is located north of Terminal 3. Qantas uses this terminal for domestic flights. You can walk to Terminal 3 from this terminal.

There are taxi stands and parking areas in front of all terminals. The terminals have restaurants, cafes, shops, baby care rooms, and ATMs. Terminals used for international flights have duty-free shops and currency exchange offices.

Perth Airport Car Rental

If you want to explore Western Australia at your own pace, you should definitely rent a car. With your rental car, you can reach the magnificent Swan Valley wine region in just 25 minutes. A 3-hour drive through scenic countryside will take you to Margaret River, one of the world’s best surfing and wine destinations. Watching the sunset at Cottesloe Beach, very close to the city, is breathtaking.

Car rental companies have offices in all terminals at Perth Airport. There are offices of international and local car rental companies in the terminals.

My advice is to rent your car before your trip. Cars sell out quickly, especially during the tourist season. Also, car prices are very high during the airport’s busy season.

Car rental companies are located near baggage claim in Terminal 1, Terminal 3, and Terminal 4. Car rental companies such as Avis, Budget, Europcar, Thrifty, and Enterprise have offices in the terminals. You can pick up your rental car from the airport parking area. A passport, driver’s license, and credit card are required to rent a car.

Perth Airport VIP Lounge

There is a VIP Lounge in each terminal at Perth Airport. Passengers with international or domestic flights can take advantage of the lounge facilities.

There are 4 VIP Lounges in the International section of Terminal 1. The International Aspire Lounge is the most popular. With its contemporary design inspired by Western Australian nature and floor-to-ceiling windows, this may be the most peaceful place to wait for your flight. It is open from 4:00 AM to 2:00 AM. Complimentary food and beverages, WiFi, and shower facilities are available. The Emirates Lounge, Air New Zealand, and Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge are also located on Level 2, next to Gate 52.

Terminal 4 has the Qantas Club and Qantas Business Lounge. Both lounges are located on Level 1, after security. Qantas passengers are really lucky, in my opinion. The Qantas International Transit Lounge is located in Terminal 3, on Level 1, after security. There is a Virgin Australia Lounge in the domestic section of Terminal 1.

Most of these lounges are open from the first flight in the morning until midnight. All VIP Lounge areas have comfortable seating areas, fast internet, and work areas. There is also a complimentary food and beverage service.
