Birmingham Airport Terminals
There is a single terminal at Birmingham Airport. The terminal has 115 check-in counters, 58 self-check-in kiosks, and over 40 gates. The ground floor is where both arrivals and all check-in procedures take place. Baggage claim areas, customs exits, and the meet-and-greet point are also on the ground floor. Check-in counters are arranged in alphabetical order. You can check which area your flight is in on the departures screens. The ground floor has currency exchange offices, a baggage wrapping service, and information desks.
Security control is located on the first floor. After security, there are duty-free shops, Boots, WH Smith, and other stores. Burger King, Wagamama, All Bar One, Starbucks, and Costa Coffee are located in the post-security area. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal.
Birmingham Airport Car Hire
If your itinerary is not limited to Birmingham and you want to see the United Kingdom’s charming villages and historic castles, you can rent a car from Birmingham Airport. You can reach Birmingham city center in 20-25 minutes by car. The journey to Stratford-upon-Avon, where Shakespeare was born, takes 45 minutes. I strongly recommend making your reservation online in advance. This way, you can rent your car at a better price. Emirates Lounge: This lounge is only open to Emirates first and business class passengers and Skywards Gold members. It is located between Gates 40-68. It has a shower area, hot meals, quiet work areas, and free Wi-Fi. It is open from 09:30 to 13:00 and from 16:50 to 20:20.

There are four-star hotels within walking distance of Birmingham Airport. Novotel Birmingham Airport is the closest hotel to the terminal. This four-star hotel is only two minutes away from the terminal. After exiting the terminal, you can reach the hotel with a 2-minute walk. The hotel has a bar open until midnight, a fitness center, a 24-hour reception, and soundproofed rooms.
Ibis Birmingham Airport is approximately 300 meters from the terminal. You can reach this hotel in 3-4 minutes on foot from the terminal. Ibis Hotel is a more budget-friendly option. The bar service continues until the early hours of the morning.
