Aspen Airport – Concourse A and B

Aspen Pitkin County Airport has a single terminal. This intimate terminal houses basic passenger services such as check-in counters, baggage claim, security checkpoints, and boarding gates. Throughout the terminal, there are seating areas, food and beverage outlets, and retail shops to ensure a comfortable waiting experience for passengers. Free Wi-Fi is available at the airport.

The ground floor of the terminal is reserved for arrivals. The departures floor is located on the first floor of the terminal.

Parking Areas

There are two main parking areas at Aspen Airport.

Bear Lot: Located a few steps from the terminal entrance. The first 30 minutes are free. The next 30 minutes cost $2, and each subsequent hour costs $2. For 2 to 12 hours, each hour costs $6, with a maximum charge of $40. After 12 hours, the daily rate is $12.

Elk Lot: This parking area is a short walk from the baggage claim area. The first 30 minutes are free. The next 30 minutes cost $1, and each additional hour costs $2. For 2 to 12 hours, the rate is $6 per hour. After 12 hours, the daily rate is $6.

Both parking lots have disabled parking spaces. There is also a Cell Phone Lot area near the terminal. Here you can wait for your passenger for one hour without leaving your vehicle. You can pay by credit card or cash.

Car Rental at the airport

If you wish to rent a car at Aspen Airport, you can rent a car from the car rental kiosks located in the baggage claim area of the terminal. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and Hertz provide services here. In addition, Go Rentals also provides services at the FBO terminal. You can easily rent a car after landing. Making a reservation in advance will give you an advantage in finding a car, especially during peak seasons. Rented cars are picked up from the parking lot next to the terminal. The companies’ working hours vary depending on the season and flight traffic, so it is recommended to confirm in advance whether they are available at your arrival time.

Find transportation from the airport – bus, taxi ,shuttles

There are several options for transportation from Aspen Airport to the city center and surrounding areas.

Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA): Buses operated by the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) run between the airport and Aspen and Snowmass Village. These buses depart from stops just outside the terminal and are a very economical way to get around.

Taxis and Rideshare: There are taxi stands outside the terminal. In addition, rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft pick up passengers at the airport. Taxis and shared vehicle services such as Uber/Lyft are also available outside the terminal to pick up passengers.

Hotel Services: Some hotels offer free shuttle service to the airport. These services wait for passengers at the Ground Transportation Circle, located just outside the baggage claim area.

Lost & Found

If you lose an item inside the airport terminal or at a security checkpoint, you should contact the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport Lost and Found office. Contact: +1 970-920-5380. The office is open during certain hours.

If you lost your item on the plane, near the boarding gate, or on the baggage claim carousel, you should contact your airline’s lost and found department.

ATM at Aspen Airport

There are ATMs inside the Aspen Airport terminal building where passengers can withdraw cash. These ATMs are located in easily accessible areas of the terminal.

Restaurants at Aspen Airport

Aspen Airport terminal has a limited number of places where passengers can grab a bite to eat or drink before or after their flight.
Jedediah’s Bar & Restaurant: This restaurant is located in the main terminal. It serves local cuisine and drinks.

Grab & Go: There are snack bars in the terminal that sell packaged snacks and drinks.

Shopping at Airport

Shopping opportunities at Aspen Airport are more limited than at larger airports. However, there are shops selling travel supplies and souvenirs at the airport.

Souvenir Shop: Local products and Aspen-themed souvenirs are available for purchase.

Newspaper and Magazine Sales Points: Newspapers and magazines are available for passengers to read during their travels.

Hotels at Aspen Airport

There are many accommodation options in Aspen city center, which is very close to Aspen Airport. There are no hotels directly connected to the airport.

The Inn at Aspen: Located approximately 1 mile from the airport. Free parking and Wi-Fi are available.

Aspen Meadows Resort: Approximately 2.1 miles from the airport. Free parking, Wi-Fi, and airport shuttle service are available.

Aspen Airport Flights and Airlines

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is served by various airlines throughout the year. Direct flights to major cities in the US are available from the airport. Passenger traffic increases significantly during the winter months. Major American airlines such as United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines use this airport.

There are regular flights from the airport to major hubs such as Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Francisco, and Atlanta. Flights are usually operated by regional jets. There are no international flights at the airport.
