John Wayne Airport (SNA) is an airport serving Orange County, Southern California. The airport is also used for commercial flights. It is located approximately 2 miles (3 km) south of downtown Santa Ana and adjacent to downtown Irvine. You can easily reach the airport from the MacArthur Blvd exit on I-405 (San Diego Freeway) or via SR-73 (Corona Del Mar Freeway).

The airport has a single main terminal building with three passenger terminals: A, B, and C. These terminals are primarily used for domestic flights and international flights to Mexico and Canada.

There is a single main terminal building at the airport. The terminal building has three separate concourses: Terminal A, Terminal B, and Terminal C. All terminals are within walking distance of each other.
Terminal A: Major national carriers such as American Airlines and Delta Air Lines use this terminal. Terminal A has 8 boarding gates (A1-A8). The lower level of the terminal has baggage claim carousels and ground transportation (taxi, shuttle, rideshare) vehicles. The upper level of the terminal has check-in counters, security checkpoints, boarding gates, food and beverage, and shopping areas.
Terminal B: Alaska Airlines and United Airlines use this terminal. Terminal B has 8 boarding gates (B9-B16). Baggage claim areas and ground transportation vehicles are located on the lower level of the terminal. The upper level features check-in, security, gates, dining, and shopping areas. The USO Lounge is also located on the lower level of this terminal.
Terminal C: This terminal is the main hub for Southwest Airlines. Other airlines, such as Frontier Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Allegiant Air, and WestJet, also use this terminal. Terminal C has 7 boarding gates (C17-C23). The lower level of the terminal has baggage claim and transportation vehicles. The upper level of the terminal has check-in, security, gates, food and beverage, and shopping areas. This is the newest terminal.
Parking Areas
There are various parking locations at John Wayne Airport.
Terminal Parking (A1, A2, B2, C): These are within walking distance of the terminals. This is a covered parking area. It is suitable for short and long-term parking. Fee: $2 USD for every 20 minutes, with a daily maximum of $20-24 USD.
Main Street Parking (Off-Airport): Located at 1512 Main Street, Irvine. There is a free shuttle service from the terminals to the parking lot. This is a more economical option. Fee: $14 per day.
Curbside Valet Parking: Valet service is available on the departure level in front of the terminal. If you want to park your car quickly, you can choose this parking option. Fee: $30 per day.
Electric vehicle charging stations are available at Terminal Parking A2 and B2. Payments can be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover) or cash. Reservations are not available for parking areas.
Car Rental at the airport
All car rental companies at John Wayne Airport have counters on the lower level of Terminal A and Terminal B. Rental cars are located on the ground floor of the covered parking lot directly opposite the terminals. You can quickly reach this location on foot. Car rental companies such as Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty provide services at the car rental center. Offices are generally open 24 hours a day, every day of the week. However, working hours may vary depending on airline flight schedules.
Find transportation from the airport – bus, taxi ,shuttles
OCTA (Orange County Transportation Authority): Bus line 76 transports passengers from the airport to areas such as Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, and Costa Mesa. Bus stops are located outside Terminal B, on the lower level.
iShuttle: This is a shuttle service that operates between the airport and Tustin Metrolink Station.
Rideshare: Services such as Uber and Lyft are widely used at SNA. There are vehicle waiting areas outside the terminal. You can wait for your vehicle here.
Taxis: Taxi stands are located at the arrivals level of each terminal, near the baggage claim areas.
Airport Shuttles: Shared or private shuttle services such as SuperShuttle and Prime Time Shuttle operate at the airport. You must make a reservation in advance to use the shuttle service.
VIP Lounge at John Wayne Airport
John Wayne Airport has lounge areas for certain airlines and programs.
American Airlines Admirals Club (Terminal A, near Gate A8): Open from 5:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Admirals Club members, eligible ticket holders, and certain credit card holders can access the lounge. Snacks, beverages, and work areas are available.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the terminal building, including electronic cigarettes, in all enclosed areas. Passengers who wish to smoke must exit the terminal building and use the designated outdoor smoking areas located a certain distance from the arrivals (lower level) and departures (upper level) exits.
