Denver International Airport (IATA: DEN) is a massive international airport serving the city of Denver in the state of Colorado, United States. It is located approximately 25 miles northeast of the city center.
It is the largest airport in North America by area. It is one of the world’s busiest airports in terms of passenger traffic. Denver Airport is operated by the City and County of Denver. Approximately 70 million passengers use this airport annually. The airport’s iconic tent-like Teflon-coated fiberglass roof is quite famous.

Denver Airport Layout – Terminal Guide
The main building used by passengers at Denver International Airport is the Jeppesen Terminal. There are three separate concourses (A, B, C) in the terminal.
The Jeppesen Terminal is the hub for the airport’s land-side operations. Check-in counters, baggage claim areas, access to security checkpoints (North and South Security Checkpoints and the A-Bridge Security Checkpoint), ground transportation services, food and beverage areas, and shops are located in this terminal. The terminal is divided into East and West.
Concourse A, B, C: All boarding gates are located in these three separate buildings.
Concourse A: You can reach here on foot (via the Skybridge) or via the Automated Guideway Transit System (AGTS), an underground train system within the terminal. It is generally used for international flights and flights with Frontier Airlines and some other airlines.
Concourse B: Accessible only via the AGTS train. It is the main hub for United Airlines.
Concourse C: Accessible only via the AGTS train. It is used for Southwest Airlines and some other airlines’ flights.
You can quickly and freely transfer between all concourses via the AGTS train. There are numerous dining, shopping, and relaxation areas in the concourses. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport.
Parking Areas
Parking spaces are available at Denver Airport for your vehicle.
Garage Parking – East and West: Located right next to the Jeppesen Terminal, on the east and west wings. It is within walking distance of the terminal. Suitable for short and long-term parking. Fee: $7 per hour and a maximum of $30 per day
Economy Parking – East and West: This parking area is a little further from the terminal. A free shuttle service operates between the parking lot and the terminal. Fee: $6 per hour and a maximum of $18 per day..
61st and Peña Parking: This parking area is located at the 61st and Peña station, which is connected to the airport by train (A Line). You can only reach this parking area by train. It is the cheapest parking area. Fee: $7 per day.
Short Term Parking – East and West: Located on the Arrivals level of the terminal, designed specifically for meeting passengers or short waits. The hourly rate is approximately $7 USD.
Valet Parking: Valet parking is available on the 5th floor of the terminal at two locations, East and West. The daily rate is approximately $45 USD. Reservations are required.
Cell Phone Waiting Lot: Located in Final Approach. You can wait for your arriving passenger here. You can stay here for a maximum of 60 minutes.
Electric vehicle charging stations are available in the parking lots. All parking areas have disabled parking spaces. These spaces are located in the sections closest to the terminal entrance. Payments can be made by credit card and some mobile payment methods.
Car Rental at the airport
Car rental company offices are not located in the Jeppesen Terminal. All car rental companies are located in a dedicated Rental Car Center within the airport grounds. Many major companies such as Avis, Hertz, Enterprise, National, Budget, and Alamo operate here. You can reach this center via the free shuttle departing from the 5th floor of the Jeppesen Terminal (Baggage Claim Area). The offices are open 24 hours a day, every day of the week.
Find transportation from the airport – bus, taxi ,train
A Line (Train): Operated by the Regional Transportation District (RTD), the A Line commuter train provides direct transportation from Denver Airport Station, located under Jeppesen Terminal, to downtown Denver Union Station in approximately 37 minutes. Trains run frequently.
Bus (RTD SkyRide): RTD’s SkyRide buses connect the airport to the Denver metropolitan area and surrounding cities such as Boulder. Buses depart from Denver Airport Station.
Mountain Carriers: There are private shuttle services providing transportation to Colorado’s famous ski resorts (Vail, Aspen, Breckenridge, etc.). Reservations are required.
Taxis: Taxis are available at designated taxi stands on the 5th floor of Jeppesen Terminal (Gates 505, 507, 511 East side; Gates 506, 510 West side). Rideshare (Uber/Lyft): Designated pick-up areas for ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are located on the 5th floor of Terminal Jeppesen.

For items lost in Jeppesen Terminal or at security checkpoints, please contact the DEN Lost and Found office. The office is located on the 5th floor of Jeppesen Terminal, at the north end of the International Arrivals area. The office is open weekdays from 08:00 to 19:30 and weekends from 08:00 to 18:00. VIP Lounge at Denver Airport
Concourse A Mezzanine – Rest & Recharge: Located on the north side of Concourse A’s Mezzanine level, the Rest & Recharge area is open 24 hours a day. It features lounge chairs, partitioned seating areas, and numerous power outlets for charging your devices. Providing a quiet environment, it uses spacious, bed-like recliner chairs instead of sleep pods. There is no charge to use this area.
