Harry Reid International Airport is located in the Paradise area of Nevada. If you are coming from the north, you can reach this airport via Paradise Road and Russell Road. If you are coming from the south, you can easily reach the airport via the Harry Reid Airport Connector road, which branches off from the Las Vegas Beltway.

Approximately 58 million passengers use Harry Reid Airport annually. Nearly 500 flights are operated daily. There are direct flights to over 150 destinations from here. Harry Reid Airport is only 4 miles from downtown Las Vegas. You can reach the city center from the airport in 10-15 minutes.

Harry Reid Airport is only 3 miles from the famous Las Vegas Strip. This means the airport is in a very central location. You can reach hotels on the Strip from the airport by taxi in 10 minutes. Taxis wait for passengers at exits 1-4 in Terminal 1 and on the ground floor of Terminal 3. App-based vehicles such as Uber and Lyft have designated waiting areas in the terminal. You can board your vehicle from the 2nd floor parking garage in Terminal 1 and from the valet level in Terminal 3.

At Harry Reid Airport, RTC buses run from the airport to the city center. These buses stop at both terminals.

Harry Reid Airport Terminal

Harry Reid Airport has two terminal buildings: Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. There are a total of 110 gates in the terminals. These two terminals are in separate areas. The terminals are not connected by a walkway. There is a free shuttle between the terminals. However, because the terminals are located quite far from each other, the shuttle ride can take a while. Therefore, don’t forget to check the terminal on your ticket.

Terminal 1 is the busiest and largest terminal at Harry Reid Airport. This terminal mainly hosts domestic flights. This terminal is mostly used by Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines. There are four concourses in Terminal 1: Concourse A, Concourse B, Concourse C, and Concourse D.

Concourse A and Concourse B are within walking distance and connected to each other. Concourse 2 is accessible from the C Annex corridor. Concourse D is connected to Terminal 1 via the Automated Transit System. Concourse D features restaurants such as Shake Shack and Wolfgang Puck Express.

Terminal 1 has three separate security checkpoints. TSA PreCheck and CLEAR Plus fast-track lanes are also available in the terminal. Inside the terminal, there are slot machines, restaurants, cafes, shops, and FlyFit walking tracks.

Terminal 3 is used for international flights and some domestic flights. It has a quieter atmosphere compared to Terminal 1. Terminal 3 has E Gates. Customs and passport control procedures for international arrivals are carried out in Terminal 3.

European airlines such as British Airways and Virgin Atlantic operate from this terminal. There is one security checkpoint in Terminal 3. TSA PreCheck is also active in this terminal. The baggage claim area, city transportation vehicles, and airport train station are located on the ground floor of the terminal. There are duty-free shops on the departures level of the terminal.

Harry Reid Airport Car Rental

If you want to fully explore Las Vegas, you should rent a car as soon as you land at the airport. You will need a car to explore the Grand Canyon or Red Rock Canyon. Red Rock Canyon is only 30 minutes away from the airport. With your rental car, you can take day trips to unique natural wonders such as Death Valley and Zion National Park.

Car rental companies are not located inside the terminal at Harry Reid Airport. All companies operate at the Rent-A-Car Center, just 3 miles from the airport. You can reach the car rental center via a free shuttle that departs from in front of the terminals. The shuttle picks up passengers from in front of gates 7 and 10 at Terminal 1. At Terminal 3, it waits for passengers in front of gates 51 and 58. The shuttle ride takes 6-7 minutes.

The offices of Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, Dollar, Payless National, and Thrifty are located in the same building. After completing your car rental, you will pick up your vehicle from the parking lot of this building. Returning your rental car is also very easy. You can reach the Car Rental Center by following the airport signs. You can also complete your car rental online. This way, you will spend a minimum amount of time renting a car. In addition, online car rental prices are always more affordable.

Harry Reid Airport VIP Lounge

There are VIP Lounges in both terminals at Harry Reid Airport. No matter which terminal your flight is in, you can wait for your flight in a comfortable lounge area.

The Club at LAS serves both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. The Club at LAS is located near the D33 gates in Terminal 1. It is open between 5:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. The Club at LAS is located directly opposite E2 in Terminal 3. The lounge in this terminal is open between 5:00 a.m. and midnight. It is free for Priority Pass members. You can also use the lounge area by paying at the door.

The United Club is located on the 3rd floor between D33 and D35. This lounge is open to passengers traveling with United Airlines and Star Alliance carriers. The Capital One Lounge is located opposite the D1 gates in Terminal 1. The American Express Centurion Lounge is near the D50 gates. Only Amex Platinum cardholders can use this lounge area.

The Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club is the newest VIP lounge at the airport. This lounge is located between C23 and C24 in Terminal 1. It is a two-story lounge area. With David Chang’s Momofuku menu, champagne parlor, and design inspired by Vegas nights, this place will pamper you.

All lounges offer complimentary food and beverages, Wi-Fi, charging stations, and quiet work areas.

Hotels at Harry Reid Airport

There is no hotel connected to the terminals at Harry Reid Airport. However, this airport is very close to the Las Vegas Strip. The airport’s central location is a huge advantage for travelers.

There are many hotels around Harry Reid Airport to suit every budget. The Best Western McCarran Inn is both affordable and offers a free airport shuttle. This hotel is only a 5-minute drive from the airport. The Hampton Inn & Suites Las Vegas Airport and Fairfield Inn & Suites Las Vegas Airport South are also very close to Harry Reid Airport. Both hotels are quite affordable.

Hilton Grand Vacations Club Elara Center Strip Las Vegas is approximately 2 miles from Harry Reid Airport. This hotel is also very close to the center of the Las Vegas Strip. This makes it easy to reach many places to visit in the city.
