Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is an airport serving the Coachella Valley region of Southern California and the popular resort city of Palm Springs.

The airport is located approximately 2 miles east of downtown Palm Springs. You can reach the airport via Tahquitz Canyon Way and Kirk Douglas Way. The airport has a single terminal building and two concourse areas.

Palm Springs International Airport – bono and caliente concourse

There is one terminal at the airport. This terminal building has two main passenger waiting lounges.

Sonny Bono Concourse (Gates 4-11): Major national carriers such as Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines use this concourse.

Agua Caliente Concourse (Gates 12-20): This section is used by smaller regional jets and some other carriers. Allegiant Air, Air Canada, Flair Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Sun Country, and WestJet operate seasonal services here.

The main section of the terminal building (before security) has check-in counters and ticket offices. After passing through security, passengers can access both concourses. The post-security area has a large open-air atrium with dining options, shops, and seating areas. Baggage claim and ground transportation options are located on the ground floor of the terminal.

Parking Areas

There is one main parking area at Palm Springs Airport.

General Parking Lot: Located directly across from the terminal building. Suitable for both short-term and long-term parking. Fee: $2 USD for the first hour, $2 USD for each additional hour, maximum daily rate of $20 USD.
Premium Parking: An open parking area located near the terminal. Fee: $30 per day.

Electric vehicle charging stations are available in designated areas of the parking lot. You can pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover) or cash. Online reservations are not accepted.

Car Rental at the airport

All car rental companies at Palm Springs Airport have counters located across from the baggage claim area inside the terminal building. Rental cars are located in a private parking lot within walking distance of the terminal. Major car rental companies serving the airport include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. Offices are generally open most of the day. Offices are open according to flight schedules. Once you have completed the rental process, you can pick up your vehicle from the parking lot.

Find transportation from the airport – sunline bus, taxi

SunLine Buses: SunBus routes 2 and 4 run between the airport and the city center. These buses connect the airport to Palm Springs city center and other locations in the Coachella Valley. The bus stop is located at the terminal exit.

Rideshare: Services such as Uber and Lyft are widely available at PSP. Designated pickup points are marked at the terminal exit.

Taxis: Taxi stands are located at the terminal exit.

VIP Lounge at Palm Springs International Airport

Aspire Lounge (Post-Security, between Gates 4 and 6): Passengers of various airlines, certain credit card holders (American Express Platinum), and lounge program members such as Priority Pass can use this area. You can access the lounge area by paying a daily pass fee. Fee: Between $40 and $45. Hours vary depending on flight schedules. Light meals, beverages, Wi-Fi, and spacious seating areas are available.

USO Lounge (Pre-Security, Terminal Lobby): This lounge is for military personnel. Active military personnel and their families can use this lounge free of charge.

Lost & Found

ATM at Palm Springs International Airport

There are ATMs belonging to various banks in the terminal building. These ATMs are available 24/7.

Smoking Areas

Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is strictly prohibited in all enclosed areas of the terminal building. Passengers who wish to smoke must exit the terminal building and use the designated outdoor smoking areas located a certain distance from the arrivals (lower level) and departures (upper level) exits. These areas are clearly marked and easy to find.

PSP Duty Free/Gift Shop: Perfume, cosmetics, alcoholic beverages (for international travelers), and souvenirs.
Palm Springs Traveller: Local-themed souvenirs, clothing, and accessories.
Tech on the Go: Electronic accessories and technological products for travel.

Duty Free

There is a Duty-Free store operated by Marshall in the main shopping corridor of the terminal building after security. Here you can find cosmetics, perfume, alcoholic beverages (wine, whiskey, vodka, etc.), tobacco products, luxury chocolate, and souvenirs. It is open from early morning to late evening in accordance with the airport flight schedule.

There are many hotels near the airport in Palm Springs. Most hotels offer free airport shuttle service to their guests.

Hilton Palm Springs: Located approximately 1.5 miles from the airport. Offers free 24-hour shuttle service.
Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel: Located approximately 1.5 miles from the airport. Free shuttle service to the airport is available at certain times.

Courtyard by Marriott Palm Springs: Located approximately 1 mile from the airport. Free airport shuttle service is available. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a business center.
