The WeGo bus line #18 runs between the airport and downtown. This express line takes about 20 minutes to reach downtown. Taxis are located in front of the terminal. A taxi ride to downtown takes 15-20 minutes. Taxis are available 24 hours a day.

There is one terminal building at Nashville Airport. There are 4 concourses in the terminal: Concourse A, Concourse B, Concourse C, Concourse D. The terminal has three levels. Level 1 has transportation options and car rental companies. Level 2 is reserved for arrivals. Level 3 is the departures level. You can walk to all concourses from the post-security area.
Concourse A hosts flights for Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and Alaska Airlines. There are 16 gates here.
Concourse B serves Frontier Airlines and JetBlue Airways. This is a particularly convenient area for families, with a play area for children and grab-and-go food options. There are 10 gates in this section.
Concourse C is the busiest section. American Airlines and Southwest Airlines flights use this concourse. There are 26 gates in Concourse C.
Concourse D is used exclusively for Southwest Airlines flights. This section features Minute Suites, a pet relief area, and a variety of dining options. There are 11 gates here.
There are concert stages right in the middle of the terminal, just before and after security. So, you can listen to live music performances by professional artists while waiting for your flight. Each terminal wing has plenty of USB charging points, high-speed free Wi-Fi, and baby care rooms. You can buy iconic Nashville T-shirts from stores like the “Music City Shop” located inside the terminal.
Security checkpoints can be crowded during peak hours. You should be at the airport at least two hours before your flight.
Nashville Airport Car Rental
Nashville is a city waiting to be discovered, with its historic towns and stunning natural surroundings. You can start your Nashville adventure by renting a car at Nashville Airport. The Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills Mall are about 10 minutes from the airport. You can reach the picnic and kayaking routes of Percy Priest Lake in 15 minutes by car. Cheekwood Estate & Gardens is 20 minutes away. If you want to discover the rural beauty of Tennessee Hill Country, you can head to Natchez Trace Parkway.
Renting a car at Nashville Airport is very convenient. Car rental counters are located on the first floor of the terminal. After checking in, you can pick up your car from the consolidated car rental facility next to Terminal Garage 1. It’s just a short walk away. The offices of Avis, Budget, Hertz, Enterprise, National, Alamo, Advantage, Payless, SIXT, Thrifty, and Dollar car rental companies are inside the terminal. The general rule for car rental is that you must be 21 years of age or older. Some companies charge an extra fee for drivers under 25.
Once you leave the airport by car, you can reach tourist destinations such as Downtown, Music Row, The Gulch, and Opryland in 10–25 minutes. I recommend making your reservation online before your trip. Demand for rental cars increases, especially during Nashville’s major festivals.

The USO Nashville Lounge is a special area with free access for active military personnel and their families. This VIP Lounge is located on the 3rd floor of Concourse D. It is open from 08:00 to 16:00.
