Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) is located approximately 6 miles (10 km) east of the city of Fresno in California’s Central Valley region. It is one of the largest and busiest airports in the Central Valley region.

It is the primary commercial airport serving the city and the surrounding San Joaquin Valley, as well as Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon National Parks. The airport is operated by the Fresno City Airport Department. Over 2 million passengers use the airport annually. The airport has two parallel runways and a single terminal.

Fresno Yosemite Airport has a single terminal building. The terminal is divided into two concourses, North and South. There are 12 boarding gates in the terminal. Concourse A has 6 gates and Concourse B has 4 gates. The terminal building has digital flight information screens, free Wi-Fi, spacious waiting areas, a children’s play area, and a Business Center.
Lower Level (Arrivals): The lower level of the terminal is dedicated to arrivals. Baggage claim carousels, passenger pick-up areas, car rental counters, and ground transportation (taxi, shuttle, rideshare) services are located on this level.
Upper Level (Departures): The upper level of the terminal is reserved for departures. Check-in counters, TSA security checkpoints, food and beverage outlets, and shopping areas are located here. Departing passengers board their flights from this level.
Parking Areas
There is a multi-story parking garage with a capacity of 917 vehicles and an open parking lot across from the terminal.
Short Term Parking: This is the parking lot closest to the terminal building. The first 20 minutes are free. After that, the fee is $2 USD for every 20 minutes, with a maximum daily fee of $20 USD.
Long Term Covered Parking: This is a covered parking lot within walking distance of the terminal. The daily fee is 14 USD.
Long Term Surface Parking: This is an open parking lot within walking distance of the terminal. If you plan to leave your vehicle at the airport for an extended period, you may choose this parking lot. The daily fee is 10 USD.
Cell Phone Waiting Lot: This is a free area where drivers picking up passengers can wait. It is located 2 minutes by car from the terminal. You can wait here for a maximum of 60 minutes.
All parking areas have disabled parking spaces. These spaces are located closest to the terminal entrance. Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover) and cash are accepted at the parking lots. In addition, there are electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at the parking lots.
Car Rental at the airport
The consolidated car rental center, located in the west wing of the terminal, houses the offices of nine national car rental companies. Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, Alamo, National, Sixt, Thrifty, and Dollar provide services here. You can complete your car rental transactions at this center. Rented vehicles are picked up from the parking area next to the terminal building. Car rental offices are generally open seven days a week, depending on flight schedules.
Find transportation from the airport – Fax, taxis
FAX (Fresno Area Express): Routes 26 and 39 depart from the airport every 30 minutes. These buses transport passengers to the city center and north. The bus stop is located just outside the central entrance of the terminal building.
Taxis and Rideshare: Taxi stands are located at the terminal exit. Shared vehicle services such as Uber and Lyft also pick up passengers from designated areas at the airport.
Shuttle Services: Some hotels and private shuttle companies provide service to the airport and surrounding areas.

For items lost in the airport terminal or parking areas, contact the Airport Police Lost and Found Office.
