Daytona Beach International Airport (IATA: DAB) is located in Volusia County, Florida, United States, in the world-famous city of Daytona Beach.

This airport primarily serves visitors to “The World’s Finest Beach” and the Daytona International Speedway, the heart of motor sports. Daytona Beach Airport is located approximately 3 miles (5 km) southwest of downtown Daytona Beach. The airport serves approximately 700,000 passengers annually.

Daytona Beach International Airport sits between two worlds - NASCAR fans heading to the speedway and families chasing perfect beach weather. It's small enough to get through security fast, but busy enough during race weekends that you'll hear engines revving in conversations at every gate.

Daytona Beach International Airport – terminal and gate map

Daytona Beach International Airport has one terminal. All arriving and departing passenger services are handled in this terminal.

The terminal building houses all the facilities passengers may need, from check-in counters to baggage claim areas, TSA security checkpoints, and ground transportation connections. Food and beverage options and shopping outlets are also available in the terminal.

The terminal building has two floors. The ground floor is where arriving passengers can collect their luggage, access car rental counters, and head to outdoor transportation vehicles. The upper floor is reserved for ticket counters, security checkpoints, and the departures lounge, which leads to all boarding gates. There are six gates in the terminal. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the airport for passengers.

Parking Areas

Daytona Beach Airport has parking areas where passengers can park their vehicles.

Short-Term Parking Lot: This parking lot is located closest to the terminal building. It is ideal for short stops such as dropping off or picking up passengers. The first 15 minutes are free. Fee: $2 per hour, maximum $15 per day.

Long-Term Parking Lot: This parking lot is located within walking distance of the terminal. The price is more affordable. Fee: $1 per hour, maximum $12 per day.

Cell Phone Lot: This is a free waiting area near the terminal for drivers who want to wait for passengers arriving at the airport without leaving their vehicles. You can wait here for 60 minutes free of charge.

All parking areas have designated parking spaces for people with disabilities, located near the terminal entrances. Payments can be made by credit card.

Car Rental at the airport

Renting a car at Daytona Beach Airport is quite easy. Car rental company counters are located on the ground floor of the terminal building, directly opposite the baggage claim area. Many well-known companies in the industry, such as Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Alamo, offer their services here. After completing your rental, you can pick up your car from the parking lot outside the terminal. Most companies’ offices are open every day of the week, in line with flight schedules.

Find transportation from the airport – Votran, taxi ,shuttles

Bus (Votran): Votran, Volusia County’s public transportation system, operates bus services connecting the airport to Daytona Beach city center, beach areas, and other important destinations in the surrounding area. You can board Votran buses from designated stops outside the terminal building. These buses depart approximately every half hour from in front of the terminal. The trip to the city center takes 30 minutes, and the one-way fare is $1.75.

Taxi: There are taxi stands located at the east exit of the baggage claim area that offer 24/7 service.

Shared Rides (Uber/Lyft): There are designated pickup and drop-off points for app-based ride-sharing services such as Uber and Lyft on the arrivals level of the terminal.

Hotel Shuttles: Many hotels in the area offer free or paid shuttle (ring service) transportation between the airport and the hotel for their guests. Be sure to confirm this service when making your hotel reservation.

Lost & Found

If you lose an item in a general area of the airport, such as the terminal building, security checkpoints, or parking lots, you should contact the Daytona Beach International Airport Lost and Found. The office is usually located on the ground floor of the terminal building. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. For more information, please call (386) 248-8030.

Java Moon Cafe (Pre-Security): Located near the main entrance of the terminal. It serves a variety of coffees, fresh pastries, sandwiches, and light snacks.

The Junction Daytona Beach (Post-Security Airside, Main Concourse): Located in the passenger lounge after security, this full-service restaurant and bar offers American cuisine, breakfast options, and a variety of beverages.

Java Moon Express (Post-Security Airside, Main Terminal): In addition to The Junction, this smaller Java Moon location is perfect for a quick coffee or snack.

Budweiser Tap Room (Post-Security Airside, Near Gate 2): Located near the gates, this bar serves a variety of beers and other beverages, as well as light bar snacks.

Venue hours vary depending on flight traffic and season.

Shopping at Airport

DAB has a variety of shops where you can purchase items for your travel needs or souvenirs of Daytona Beach.

The Market @ DAB / Daytona Sky Shop: These stores offer books, magazines, newspapers, snacks, beverages, travel supplies, electronic accessories, and especially Daytona Beach, motorsports, and Florida-themed gifts and apparel.

There are several hotels in the vicinity of the airport, some of which offer free shuttle service.

Hampton Inn Daytona Speedway Airport: Located 1.0 mile from the airport. Free airport shuttle service is available for guests.

Hilton Garden Inn Daytona Beach Airport: Located very close to the airport. The distance between the airport and the hotel is only 0.5 miles. Free shuttle service is provided for guests.

Courtyard Daytona Beach Speedway Airport: Located approximately 1.0 mile from the airport. Free airport shuttle service is available upon request. You can make reservations at the front desk.

Residence Inn Daytona Beach Speedway Airport: Located 0.7 miles from the airport. Free Daytona Beach International Airport shuttle service is available 24 hours a day. You can call the reception desk to reserve your spot.

Daytona Beach International Airport Flights and Airlines

Daytona Beach International Airport is an important regional destination, particularly for major national carriers such as American Airlines and Delta Air Lines. These airlines connect DAB to their own major hubs. Occasionally, low-cost carriers such as Avelo Airlines also serve this airport on certain routes or seasonally.

There are regular direct flights from the airport to major US cities and hubs such as Charlotte (CLT) and Atlanta (ATL). There are direct flights from the airport to cities such as Phoenix, Charlotte, New York–LaGuardia, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Orlando.
