When I first went to Detroit, I expected to see a more industrial city. But what I found was a city alive with spirit, music, and history. The Detroit Institute of Arts, located in the heart of the city, was one of the places that impressed me the most. You should spend a long time examining Diego Rivera’s enormous frescoes. If you’re interested in automotive history, The Henry Ford and the adjacent Greenfield Village should definitely be at the top of your list. Here, you can discover America’s industrial revolution step by step. To feel the city’s musical spirit, you must visit the Motown Museum. Being in the studio where Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross recorded is truly impressive. In the evening, you can take a peaceful walk along the Detroit Riverwalk route. For nightlife and restaurants, you can choose the Greektown area. It is both a lively and peaceful city.

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is located in Romulus, Michigan. You can easily reach this airport from the I-94 and I-275 highways. This airport is Michigan’s busiest airport. The airport is Delta Air Lines’ second hub. Spirit Airlines also operates flights to many destinations from here.

Ride-sharing services such as Uber, Lyft, MetroCabs, and MetroCars also pick up passengers from designated areas on the ground floor of the terminals.

Detroit Metropolitan Airport Terminal

There are two terminals at Detroit Metropolitan Airport: McNamara Terminal and Evans Terminal. The two terminals are located at opposite ends of the airport runway. This means the terminals are not connected. To transfer between terminals, you must exit the security area and take the free shuttle.

McNamara Terminal is the largest terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. This terminal is used by Delta Air Lines and SkyTeam partners. This terminal has three concourses extending from A1 to A78, B1 to B21, and C1 to C27. There is a rapid transit system called ExpressTram in the terminal. This high-speed tram system, which runs along approximately 1 mile of Concourse A, picks up passengers at three stops: South Station (A1-A28), Terminal Station (A29-A55), and North Station (A56-A78). The train journey between concourses takes three minutes.

Evans Terminal is located at the north end of the airport. Only Concourse D is located here. Airlines other than SkyTeam use this terminal. There are 29 gates in this terminal. Ticket counters and departure areas are on the upper level, while arrivals and transportation services are on the lower level.

Each terminal has free Wi-Fi, ATMs, waiting areas, restaurants, cafes, and shops. The airport has long-term and short-term parking areas.
