Kahului Airport (IATA: OGG) is a regional airport located on the island of Maui in the U.S. state of Hawaii. It is located on the north shore of the island, approximately 3 miles (5 km) from the city of Kahului.

This airport is particularly popular among travelers looking to explore Maui’s world-renowned tourist destinations such as Ka’anapali and Wailea, the historic town of Lahaina, the breathtaking Road to Hana, and Haleakalā National Park. Kahului Airport is located within a 30-minute to 1.5-hour drive of the island’s popular destinations. OGG is Hawaii’s second busiest airport. It is used for both inter-island and mainland United States flights. The airport serves approximately four million passengers annually.

Kahului Airport has a single terminal building. The terminal is designed to suit Hawaii’s warm climate and culture. The terminal serves both inter-island and mainland (overseas) flights, as well as seasonal international flights.
The terminal has two floors. The ground floor houses baggage claim areas and arrival areas. The upper floor houses ticket counters, security checkpoints, and waiting lounges leading to the gates. After security, there are gates and a separate regional terminal (commuter terminal, small air taxi flights). The terminal has comfortable seating areas, digital flight information screens, and paid Wi-Fi throughout. Some parts of the terminal feature decorative elements reflecting Hawaiian art and culture.
Parking Areas
There is one parking lot available for passengers at Kahului Airport. This open parking lot is quite spacious. The parking lot is within walking distance of the terminal building. It can be used for both short-term and long-term parking. The first 15 minutes are free. Parking fees are as follows:

Cell Phone Lot: Drivers who wish to wait for passengers arriving at the airport without leaving their vehicles can use these waiting areas. The waiting areas are a short drive from the terminal. You can wait for your passengers here for 60 minutes without leaving your vehicle.
All parking lots have special parking spaces for disabled individuals near the terminal entrances. You can pay by credit card or cash.
Car Rental at the airport
You can explore Maui Island as you wish by renting a car from Kahului Airport. For car rental services, you can take a special tram from the terminal to the Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CONRAC) building. The free tram departs from directly opposite the baggage claim area. This modern facility houses counters for many well-known car rental companies, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Sixt, and Thrifty. Most rental companies offer services based on flight schedules. You can pick up and return your rental car at this car rental facility.

Maui Bus: Kahului Airport is connected to the “Maui Bus” public transportation system operated by Maui County. Bus routes such as Route 35 (Haiku Islander) and Route 40 (Upcountry Islander), which depart from designated stops in front of the terminal, provide transportation to Kahului, Wailuku, and other parts of the island.
Shuttle Services: One of the most popular public transportation options serving OGG is private shuttle companies. Companies such as SpeediShuttle offer shared or private transfer services to hotels in major resort areas such as Ka’anapali, Lahaina, Wailea, and Kihei. Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance to use the shuttle service. Between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., you can board these services without a reservation.
Taxis: There are taxi stands in designated areas at the baggage claim exit of the terminal. Licensed taxis operate throughout most of the day.
Shared Vehicles (Uber/Lyft): App-based ride services such as Uber and Lyft are active at OGG. Outside the terminal, there are designated pickup points (Rideshare Pickup Zones) for these services.
VIP Lounge at Kahului Airport
Kahului Airport has two Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club Lounges for VIP guests and passengers with certain passenger statuses. The “North” lounge is located across from Gate 17 in the post-security area. This lounge is open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Premier Club Lounge “South” branch is located directly opposite Gate 15. It is open from 09:30 to 15:30.
Both lounges offer Premier Club members, First Class passengers, and Priority Pass holders (limited capacity) access to pre-flight relaxation, snacks, and a work office.

If you lose an item in the general areas of the airport, such as the terminal building, security checkpoints, or parking lots, you should contact the Kahului Airport Lost & Found Office. The office is located outside the baggage claim area. The Lost & Found Office is located inside the Pass & ID Office. The Old Plantation Store: Sells packaged sandwiches, salads, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. Open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Duty Free
The DFS Duty Free store at Kahului Airport is located in two separate locations, just after security check and next to the main waiting hall and ticket lobby. The store offers visitors a wide range of products, from world-renowned perfumes, cosmetics, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products to electronic accessories.
