Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (IATA: ECP) is located in the “Panhandle” region of northwestern Florida, United States. The airport is located in the Panama City Beach area, 9 miles (14 km) from the city center.
The airport serves travelers looking to visit Panama City Beach’s stunning white-sand beaches, the picturesque “Emerald Coast” (Emerald Coast) shoreline, and popular vacation destinations such as 30A. The airport opened in 2010. It is approximately a 20-30 minute drive to city centers and beaches. ECP was built to meet the region’s rapidly growing tourism potential and to accommodate larger aircraft. The airport welcomes over one million passengers annually.

Northwest Florida Beaches Airport has a single terminal building. This two-story terminal serves both domestic flights and occasional international charter flights.
The terminal’s design was inspired by Florida’s natural beauty and coastal architecture. The ground floor houses baggage claim and car rental offices, while the upper floor features ticket counters, security checkpoints, and restaurant, café, and shopping areas. After security, gates are divided into two wings (Concourse C1–C5 and Concourse S1–S5). Open-plan waiting areas, digital flight information screens, and free Wi-Fi service are available throughout the terminal.
Parking Areas
There are three parking areas at Northwest Florida Beaches Airport.
Short-Term Parking Lot: This is the closest open parking area to the terminal building. It is ideal for short stops such as dropping off or picking up passengers. The first 20 minutes are free. Fee: $3 per hour, maximum $11 per day.
Long-Term Parking Lot: This parking lot is designed for passengers traveling for several days or longer. It is within walking distance of the terminal and is an open-air parking lot. Fee: $3 per hour, $9 per day.
Covered Economy Parking Lot: This covered parking lot is located a short distance from the terminal. Fee: $4 per hour, $134 per day.
Cell Phone Lot: This is a waiting area located a short drive from the terminal for drivers who want to wait for passengers arriving at the airport without leaving their vehicles. The waiting time is 60 minutes.
All parking lots have special parking spaces for disabled individuals located near the terminal entrances. You can pay by credit card or cash.
Car Rental at the airport
You can rent a car right away at Northwest Florida Beaches Airport. Car rental company counters are located inside the terminal building, right next to the baggage claim area. Car rental companies such as Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty are available here. Most rental offices are open weekdays and weekends from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can pick up your rental car from the parking lot next to the terminal building.
Find transportation from the airport – Bay Town Trolley, taxis
Bay Town Trolley (Route 51): Route 512 departs from the stop in front of Northwest Florida Beaches Airport. This bus route provides easy access to important locations in Panama City Beach (Pier Park, St. Andrews State Park, etc.).
Shuttle Services: The most common public transportation option serving ECP is private shuttle companies. These companies offer shared or private transfer services to hotels, accommodations, and specific addresses in Panama City Beach, Destin, Santa Rosa Beach (30A), and other popular beach towns. If you wish to use this shuttle service, please remember to make a reservation in advance.
Taxi: There are taxi stands in designated areas at the arrivals exit of the terminal. Licensed taxis operate according to flight schedules.
Shared Rides (Uber/Lyft): Ride-hailing services such as Uber and Lyft operate at ECP. There are designated pickup points (Rideshare Pickup Zones) at the arrivals level of the terminal.

The Paradies Shops / CNBC News & Gifts: The main store is located in the post-security area. Here you can find books, magazines, newspapers, snacks, beverages, travel supplies, electronic accessories, and “Emerald Coast,” “Panama City Beach,” and “30A” themed souvenirs, t-shirts, and beach gear.
