Jacksonville International Airport (IATA: JAX) is located in Duval County, in the northeastern corner of the U.S. state of Florida. The airport is approximately 13 miles (21 km) north of Jacksonville’s vibrant city center, also known as “River City by the Sea.”

Jacksonville International Airport – terminal and gate map

Jacksonville International Airport has a single terminal building. This main terminal is divided into two passenger concourses, Concourse A and Concourse C. Both concourses serve both domestic and a limited number of international flights.

Concourse A (A1–A10): This area is generally used by airlines such as American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, and Silver Airways.

Concourse C (C1–C10): This concourse is used by airlines such as Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Allegiant Air, and Sun Country Airlines, as well as Air Canada (seasonal) flights.

In the central section of the terminal building, before the security checkpoints (pre-security), there are check-in counters, baggage drop-off areas, and ticket offices. After security (post-security), there are various shops, restaurants, and rest areas at the entrance to and inside both concourses. You can move between the concourses via the central hall of the terminal. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport.

Parking Areas

There are several parking areas at Jacksonville International Airport. Each of these parking areas is designed for different types of needs.

Hourly Garages: This parking area is located closest to the terminal building. It is ideal for both short-term drop-offs/pick-ups and longer trips. It is a multi-story indoor parking garage. Fee: $2 per hour, $24 per day.

Daily Garage: This is a covered parking area located just behind the terminal. It is very close to the terminal. Fee: $2 per hour, $20 per day.

Daily Surface Lot: This is an open parking area located near the terminal. It is within walking distance of the terminal. Fee: $2 per hour, $14 per day.

Economy Lots 1–3: This parking area is located far from the terminal. You can use this parking area if you plan to leave your vehicle at the airport for a long period of time. A shuttle service operates between the terminal and the parking lot 24 hours a day. Fee: $8.

Valet Parking: Located on the departure level of the terminal, this is a premium service for passengers looking for a faster and more convenient parking experience.

The daily fee ranges from 28 to 32 USD. Cell Phone Waiting Lot: This is a waiting area located a short drive from the terminal for drivers who want to wait for passengers arriving at the airport without leaving their vehicles. The waiting time here is limited to 60 minutes. You can wait here without leaving your vehicle.

Electric vehicle charging stations are available in the covered garages. All parking lots have parking spaces reserved for disabled passengers, which are located near the terminal entrances and are easily accessible. Payments can be made by credit card and some mobile payment methods.

Car Rental at the airport

Renting a car at Jacksonville International Airport is extremely convenient. Car rental offices at JAX are located just outside the baggage claim area, inside the terminal building. Many well-known national and international car rental companies, such as Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Sixt, and Thrifty, offer a wide range of vehicles at the terminal. Most companies’ offices are open every day of the week, usually 24 hours a day. You can pick up your rental car from the parking lot near the terminal building.

Find transportation from the airport – bus, taxi ,shuttles

Bus (Jacksonville Transportation Authority – JTA): JTA’s CT3 “AirJTA” bus line runs regularly between the airport and downtown Jacksonville (Rosa Parks Transit Station). The bus stop is outside the terminal building. You can board the bus here.

Shuttle Services: Various private shuttle companies offer shared or private transfer services to Jacksonville and surrounding areas, hotels, ports, and neighboring cities (e.g., St. Augustine, Amelia Island). Advance reservations are required to use these services.

Taxis: There are taxi stands in designated areas at the arrivals level of each terminal. Licensed taxis are available 24 hours a day.

Rideshare Services (Uber/Lyft): There are designated pickup points (Rideshare Pickup Zones) for app-based ride services such as Uber and Lyft at the arrivals level of the terminal.

VIP Lounge at Jacksonville International Airport

Jacksonville Airport has a VIP Lounge offering comfortable seating, snacks, and beverage service.

Delta Sky Club (Concourse A): Serves Delta Air Lines passengers and eligible guests.

The Club JAX (Main Terminal, Central Concourse, Post-Security): This lounge is open to passengers traveling first class, members of independent lounge access programs such as Priority Pass, or all passengers paying a daily pass fee.

These lounges generally offer amenities such as free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, work areas, a variety of snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and charging facilities. Admission requirements and hours of operation vary by lounge.

Lost & Found

If you have lost an item in the general areas of the airport (terminals, security checkpoints, parking lots, etc.), you should contact the JAX Lost and Found Office. The office is located on the administrative floor of the terminal. You can fill out an online form on the airport’s website or call +1 904-741-2277. The office is open during specific hours on weekdays.

Hudson News/Booksellers (Multiple Locations): Books, magazines, newspapers, snacks, beverages, and travel essentials are available.

CNBC SmartShop / Brighton Collectibles (Concourse A & C): Travel accessories, electronics, and gifts are available.
Insight (Concourse C): Technology products and accessories are available.

River City Travel Mart (Pre- and Post-Security): You can find local Jacksonville and Florida-themed souvenirs and clothing items.

PGA Tour Shop (Concourse A): Golf-themed clothing and accessories are available.

Hotels at Jacksonville International Airport

There are hotels around the airport that cater to different budgets, many of which offer free airport shuttle service.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jacksonville Airport: This hotel is located within Jacksonville Airport. You can walk to the hotel from the airport. It is a full-service hotel located inside the terminal. It is very close and offers a free shuttle service.

Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jacksonville Airport: The airport is very close by. You can walk to the airport from the terminal exit. Travelers looking for a more economical accommodation option may prefer this hotel.
Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville Airport Northeast: It is 2 miles from the airport. There is a free shuttle service. The hotel has meeting rooms.

Aloft Jacksonville Airport: It is approximately 2 miles from the airport. Free shuttle service is available.
Hampton Inn & Suites Jacksonville-Airport: It is located near the airport. Free breakfast and shuttle service are available.

Jacksonville International Airport Flights and Airlines

Jacksonville International Airport is an important hub for many major national carriers. Airlines such as American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and JetBlue Airways operate flights from this airport. Low-cost carriers such as Allegiant Air, Frontier Airlines, and Sun Country Airlines are also active at the airport. Air Canada operates seasonal flights.

There are direct flights from the airport to major cities on the east coast of the United States (New York, Atlanta, Charlotte, Boston, Washington D.C.), the Midwest (Chicago, Detroit), and Texas (Dallas, Houston). Seasonal flights to the Caribbean and Canada are also available.
