Orlando Airport is Florida’s largest airport. There are direct flights from Orlando Airport to 91 domestic and 59 international destinations. Breeze Airways, Frontier Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and JetBlue are the airlines that operate the most flights from Orlando International Airport. Approximately 58 million passengers use the airport annually. It is the ninth busiest airport in the United States.

Orlando Airport is located approximately 6 miles from the city center. You can reach the city center from the airport in 20-25 minutes. Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld are all within 30 minutes’ reach.

Lynx buses depart from the ground floor transportation area on the Terminal A side. You can easily reach popular destinations such as Downtown Orlando, Florida Mall, and SeaWorld from platforms A38-A41. The bus ride to the city center takes 30-35 minutes. The Brightline high-speed train runs daily from the Orlando Airport station from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and many other cities.

There are taxi stands in front of each terminal at the airport. Ride-sharing apps such as Uber, Lyft, and Wingz serve the airport. You can drop off your vehicle on Level 3 of the main terminal. You can pick up your vehicle on Level 2.

Orlando Airport Terminal

There are three terminals at Orlando Airport. Terminal A and Terminal B are located inside the North Terminal Building. Terminal C is located in the South Terminal Building.

Terminal A is located in the north wing of the main terminal building. This terminal serves both domestic and international flights. JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, Frontier, Alaska Airlines, and Air Canada use this terminal. Check-in counters are located on Level 3, and baggage claim areas are on Level 2. Terminal A has 59 gates. This terminal is divided into two sections: Airside 1 and Airside 2.

Terminal B hosts Delta, United, and other international airlines. Terminal B is divided into two sections: Airside 3 and Airside 4. There are a total of 60 gates in this terminal. If you want to go to Terminal C, you can use the Terminal Link APM from the 3rd floor of Terminal B.

Terminal C is located in a separate area from the main terminal. There are 19 gates in this terminal. Terminal C is connected to the other terminals via the Terminal Link APM system and the Intermodal Terminal Facility. Terminal C hosts all international flights and all JetBlue flights.

Every terminal at the airport has free Wi-Fi, restaurants, cafes, shops, baby care rooms, ATMs, and waiting areas. Each terminal has its own parking area.

Orlando Airport Car Rental

Considering Orlando’s vast geography, you should have a vehicle to freely explore this city. You can rent a car immediately upon landing at Orlando Airport. Don’t limit your trip to just Disney and Universal. You can reach the famous Kennedy Space Center in about an hour’s drive from the airport. A 1.5-hour drive will take you to the pristine white sands of Clearwater Beach.

Car rental companies at Orlando Airport provide services inside the terminals. Rental car counters are located on Level 1 of Terminal A, Level 1 of Terminal B, and Level 4 of Terminal C. You can rent your car without leaving the terminal after collecting your luggage. Rental cars are located in the parking area inside the terminal.

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Sixt, Payless, and Thrifty serve all terminals at the airport. Car rental companies outside the airport offer free airport shuttle service. Action Car Rental LLC, AddCar, APM Car Rental, CarWiz Rent A Car, Easirent, Economy Rent a Car, Global Car Rental, Green Motion Car, Mirami Car Rental, Sonic Car Rental, Surprice Car Rentals Florida, and many other companies offer free shuttle services.

You can reserve your car online before your trip. This way, you can rent a car at a more affordable price and spend less time renting a car at the airport.

Orlando Airport VIP Lounge

After a long flight or while waiting for your connecting flight, sitting in a lounge and drinking coffee is priceless. There are VIP Lounges in all terminals at Orlando Airport.

The Club MCO is located in Terminal A and Airside 1. It is open from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The lounge welcomes you with bright white Florida sunlight, spacious seats, fast Wi-Fi, and windows overlooking the runway. There is a children’s play area inside.

The Club MCO is located in Terminal B and Airside 4. It is open from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Light hot meals, a snack buffet, and bar service are available.

Delta Sky Club is located in Terminal B and Airside 4. It is open from 4:30 AM to 9:30 PM.

United Club is located in Terminal B and Airside 3. It is open from 05:00 to 20:00. This is a more classic lounge area catering to United passengers. Inside, there is a quiet working environment for business travelers.

The American Airlines Admirals Club is located in Terminal B and Airside 3. It is open between 4:30 a.m. and 8:45 p.m. This lounge is open to American Airlines and Oneworld passengers.

The Plaza Premium Lounge is located on Level 2 in Terminal C. It is open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Hotels in Orlando Airport

There is only one hotel inside Orlando Airport. The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is located right inside the main terminal building between Terminal A and Terminal B. Situated between Terminals A and B, the hotel has two award-winning restaurants and bars offering runway views. The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is within walking distance of the terminals. The hotel has 445 rooms and 23 luxury suites. The hotel features Hemisphere Steak & Seafood and McCoy’s Bar & Grill restaurants, 24-hour room service, a fitness center, and an outdoor swimming pool.

If you want to stay somewhere more affordable outside the terminal, I have good news for you. Many hotels located near the airport offer free shuttle service. Hotels such as Courtyard by Marriott, Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside, and Hilton Orlando are only a few minutes away from the airport.

Holiday Inn Orlando-International Airport by IHG is just a few minutes away from Orlando Airport. This hotel may be the most suitable choice for families and long stays. Wingate by Wyndham Orlando International Airport caters to those looking for more affordable accommodation. Hotel services pick up passengers from designated areas outside the arrivals level of the terminal.
