Port Moresby International Airport is Papua New Guinea’s largest and busiest airport. It is located eight kilometers outside the city center. Port Moresby Airport Terminal

Port Moresby Airport has two terminals: the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal. The two terminals are connected by a covered walkway.

The International Terminal is the most modern terminal at the airport. Customs and passport control procedures are conducted in this terminal. Inside the terminal, there are currency exchange offices, restaurants, cafes, and shops. There are also shops selling local products and souvenirs. The Domestic Terminal is used for flights from Port Moresby to various cities in Papua New Guinea. The pace in this terminal is usually fast. This is because this terminal is used for flights between the islands and inland regions. Check-in areas are located in the center of the terminal.

Not all cities and villages in Papua New Guinea are connected by road. You cannot reach Lae, Wewak, and the northern regions by car. Domestic flights are mandatory for these routes.
