Paphos is one of the oldest settlements in the Mediterranean. It is located in western Cyprus. Paphos is a coastal city near the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite. The moment you set foot here, you immediately feel that unique atmosphere where history and the sea intertwine.

Kato Paphos Archaeological Park is located in the heart of the city. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1980. Within the park, the floors of Roman-era structures such as the House of Dionysus, the House of Aion, and the Villa of Theseus are covered with some of the world’s most captivating mosaics.

Known as the Tombs of the Kings, these ancient burial sites are located approximately 2 kilometers north of Kato Paphos. Dating back to the 4th century B.C., these rock-cut tombs belonged to the nobility. Their majestic columns and courtyards opening onto the ground truly transport you to another era. Petra tou Romiou, or Aphrodite’s Rock, is located about 25 kilometers south of the city. According to Greek mythology, the goddess of love was born here from the sea.

Paphos Castle is situated right at the tip of the harbor. This small medieval castle, extending out toward the sea, dates back to the 13th century. Inside the castle, there is a small museum area. Coral Bay is approximately 11 kilometers from the city center. This is Paphos’s most beautiful sandy beach. With its color and cleanliness, this bay is one of the island’s most popular vacation spots.

The Agios Neophytos Monastery is situated in a hidden valley among the mountains to the north of the city. The frescoes inside the monastery, built in the 12th century, are still vivid.

The airport is situated on flat terrain at sea level, close to the Mediterranean coast. Paphos Airport is Cyprus’s second-largest airport. It serves over 3 million passengers annually. Airlines operating flights from here include Ryanair, British Airways, Lufthansa, Royal Jordanian, easyJet, and Wizz Air.

Paphos Airport has a single terminal. Inside the terminal, there are 28 check-in counters, 7 gates, and 4 baggage carousels.
