San Jose International Airport (SJC) is located in the heart of Silicon Valley. The airport is approximately 2 miles northwest of downtown San Jose.

This airport is an important transportation hub, especially for business and technology travelers. The airport has two terminals.

Terminal A: Opened in 1990 and later modernized, this terminal has 17 boarding gates (1-17). Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue, United Airlines, and Volaris use this terminal. Gates 15-17 are used for international arrivals. The lower level of the airport is reserved for arrivals.
This area includes baggage claim, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (for international arrivals), ground transportation (taxi, shuttle, rideshare), and shuttle stops to car rental counters. The upper level of the terminal features check-in counters, security checkpoints, boarding gates, and food and shopping areas.
Terminal B: Opened in 2010, this terminal has 19 boarding gates (18-36). Some international airlines, such as Alaska Airlines, Southwest Airlines, British Airways, and ZIPAIR Tokyo, also use this terminal. The lower level of the terminal has baggage claim and arrivals passenger processing areas. The upper floor of the terminal has check-in counters, security checkpoints, boarding gates, and spacious food and shopping areas.
The two terminals are connected after security checkpoints. Transfer between terminals is easy. Before security, you can walk between terminals or take free airport shuttle buses.
Parking Areas
Hourly Lots (Lot 2 & Lot 3): Located directly opposite Terminal A (Lot 2) and Terminal B (Lot 3). Ideal for short-term parking and dropping off/picking up passengers. The fee is USD 2 per 15 minutes, with a maximum daily charge of USD 30.
Daily Lots (Lot 4 & Lot 5): Located a short walk from the terminals. There is a free shuttle between the parking lot and the terminal. Suitable for longer stays. Fee: $18 per day (Lot 5) and $22 per day (Lot 4).
Economy Lot (Lot 1): The most affordable parking area. Long-term parking. You can reach the terminals in 8 minutes with a free shuttle. Fee: $18 per day.
Cell Phone Waiting Areas: There are two free meet-and-greet areas at the airport. One is near the Coleman Ave exit, and the other is on Airport Boulevard.
EV Charging: Electric vehicle charging stations are available in Lots 2, 3, and 5.
Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover) or cash.
Car Rental at the airport
All rental offices are located in the “Rental Car Center” opposite Terminal B. Rental Car Center address: 1639 Airport Blvd. This area is accessible on foot from Terminal B. Passengers arriving at Terminal A and international arrivals can reach the car rental center by airport shuttle buses. Car rental offices such as Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National, Payless, Sixt, and Thrifty are located here. Offices are generally open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Find transportation from the airport – bus, taxi, train
VTA Light Rail: The Orange Line connects the airport directly to Mountain View (Caltrain connection), Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and San Jose city centers. You can reach the Metro/Airport Station stop by taking the free VTA Route 60 bus from Terminals A and B. From there, you can transfer to the Orange Line.
VTA Bus Route 60: This is a free bus route that runs between the terminals and Milpitas BART Station, Winchester Transit Center, and Santa Clara Caltrain Station.
Caltrain: You can transfer to the Caltrain commuter rail line by taking the VTA Light Rail or Route 60 bus to Santa Clara Station. Caltrain serves San Francisco, the Peninsula, and Gilroy.
Rideshare: Services such as Uber, Lyft, and Wingz are available at SJC. You can board your vehicle at designated pickup locations.
Taxis: Taxi stands are located at the arrivals level of both terminals.
VIP Lounge at San José Airport
There are two VIP Lounges at San Jose Airport. The Club SJC is located in Terminal A after security check, near Gates A15 and A8. Both “The Club SJC” lounges serve passengers who are members of various lounge programs such as Priority Pass and LoungeKey, as well as premium class passengers of certain airlines. You can also use this area for a daily access fee. Fee: $55 per day. The lounges offer free Wi-Fi, snacks, beverages, comfortable seating areas, and workstations.
Lost & Found
Airport Lost and Found: If you lose an item in the airport terminals, parking lots, or shuttle buses, you should contact the SJC Airport Lost and Found office. The office is located opposite Baggage Claim No. 17 in Terminal B. It is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Phone: (408) 392-3559. You can also report lost items by filling out an online form.

There are ATMs belonging to various banks in the terminal building. These ATMs are available 24/7.
Smoking Areas
Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is strictly prohibited in all enclosed areas of the terminal building. Passengers who wish to smoke must exit the terminal building and use the designated outdoor smoking areas located a certain distance from the arrivals (lower level) and departures (upper level) exits. These areas are clearly marked and easy to find.

Duty Free
There is a duty-free shop operated by Dufry in Terminal A at San Jose Airport, after security. It sells a range of products popular with international travelers, from alcoholic beverages to perfumes, chocolates, and souvenirs. The store is usually open from early morning to late evening, in line with flight schedules.

San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) is a focus city for Alaska Airlines. Southwest Airlines accounts for more than 54% of passenger traffic. Leading US airlines such as American, Delta, United, JetBlue, and Frontier also operate regular domestic flights to SJC.
Regular flights are available from the airport to cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Las Vegas, Chicago, Dallas, New York, and Hawaii. International flights include nonstop service to Guadalajara, León, Morelia, and Zacatecas in Mexico; Tokyo–Narita in Japan; and Vancouver in Canada.
