If you are visiting this beautiful city, your first stop will be Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. The journey from the airport to the city center takes approximately 30 minutes.

The most popular public transportation option to get to the city center is the STM’s 747 express bus line. This bus operates 24 hours a day. There are taxi and bus stops at the terminal exit. Taxis also operate 24 hours a day. Taxi fares may vary between day and night. If you wish to travel by train, there is a Dorval VIA Rail station just a few minutes away from the airport. From here, you can easily reach other cities in Canada.

There is a single terminal at Montréal-Trudeau Airport. This terminal is used for domestic, international, and American flights. The airport terminal has two floors. Check-in and baggage drop-off areas are on the ground floor. The upper floor is reserved for departures. There is a parking area in front of the terminal. There are car rental company offices in the terminal. The terminal offers basic services and amenities such as a baby care room, ATM, information desk, and medical assistance.

Montréal-Trudeau Airport Terminals

There is a single terminal at Montréal-Trudeau Airport. The terminal building has two floors. The terminal is divided into four main sections: the public area, the domestic jetty, the international jetty, and the transborder jetty for flights to the US. Each section serves different flight destinations. Domestic flights depart from one wing of the terminal, flights to the US depart from a separate “transborder” section, and long-haul international flights depart from the international jetty.

The Public Area is where check-in procedures take place. It is divided into two sections. One section is for flights within Canada and outside Canada, while the other section is for USD flights. Self-service kiosks, shops, cafes, and waiting areas are located in this section. The arrivals level has baggage claim and tourist information points.

Domestic Jetty is the section used for flights within Canada. There are a total of 26 gates in this area. Gates 1-12, 15, and 47-49 are located in the main jetty. The satellite jetty has gates 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 32, and 34.

The International Jetty is used for international flights. This area has 18 gates: gates 50-53 and 55-68. The Loop, one of Canada’s largest airport duty-free shops, is located in this area. The terminal has boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and spa facilities. The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, National Bank Lounge, Desjardins Odyssey Lounge, and Air France-KLM Lounge are located in this section.

Montréal-Trudeau Airport Car Rental

Car rental companies have offices at Montréal-Trudeau Airport. However, the car rental offices are not located inside the terminal. All offices are in the P4 parking building. After exiting the terminal, you can reach the P4 parking lot via a free shuttle bus. Car rental offices are open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

P4 has offices for international car rental companies such as Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. You will need your passport, driver’s license, and credit card when picking up your car. You can rent a car immediately upon landing at the airport. There are also car rental offices outside the airport. Some companies offer a free shuttle service to the airport.

You can also make your reservation online. This will speed up your airport procedures. Online reservations also offer more affordable prices. If you are traveling to Montréal in the winter, make sure your rental car has snow tires.

Montréal-Trudeau Airport VIP Lounge

There are several VIP Lounges at Montréal-Trudeau Airport. Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounges are located in three different areas: Domestic, International, and USA.

Air Canada Café is located near Gate 5 in the Domestic area. This lounge is open from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge is located in the Domestic area near Gate 5. This lounge is open from 4:15 AM to 10:00 PM. The Aspire Amex Lounge is located in the Domestic area near Gate 1. The Aspire Amex Lounge is open from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge is located in the International area, near Gate 52. This lounge is open from 6:00 AM to 10:15 PM. Air France KLM Lounge is located in the International area, near Gate 57. It is open from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Desjardins Odyssey Lounge is located in the International area, near Gate 63. This VIP Lounge is open from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The National Bank Lounge is located in the International area near Gate 53. The National Bank Lounge is open from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge is located in the USA area near Gate 73. This VIP Lounge is open from 5:15 AM to 8:00 PM. The Plaza Premium Lounge is located near Gate 76 in the USA area. It is open from 4:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

All VIP Lounges offer snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, workstations, charging points, daily newspapers, and magazines. Some lounge areas offer hot meal service.

Hotels near Montréal-Trudeau International Airport

There is one hotel inside the terminal at Montréal-Trudeau Airport: the Montréal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel. The Montréal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel is located directly opposite the terminal for US flights. This hotel has 318 soundproofed rooms, an indoor pool, spa, fitness center, and restaurant. You can easily reach the airport on foot from the terminal.

There are also several hotels very close to the airport around the terminal. Most of these hotels offer a free airport shuttle service. Hotels such as DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal Airport, Holiday Inn & Suites Montreal Airport, Quality Inn & Suites P.E. Trudeau Airport, and Hampton Inn & Suites Montreal-Dorval are 5-10 minutes away from the airport.

When you exit the Arrivals level, you will see the areas where the hotel shuttle buses stop. Hotel shuttles run every 15-30 minutes. The Sheraton Montreal Airport Hotel and Aloft Montreal Airport offer a 24-hour shuttle service between the airport and the hotel.
